I think it's okay. And I really, really don't have anything to say about a song that I think is just "okay" that I already heard before. :(

Triple Attack!

Cannibal Corpse - Make them Suffer

Roar. Repetitive but not actively bad. Just extremely dull. 3/10

Bivattchee - Taiyou no Mannaka he

It sounds exactly the same as most anime OPs to me. 5/10

"In Crimson Dreams" by The Blood Divine

Hmm...nice instrumentation. The vocals drag it down, though. 6/10

...Nevermore - Sitra

Lyrics:

I think this song is beautiful. The melody is pretty and all the instruments (but the guitar especially!) sound really good. The only problem I have is that the clean vocals sound a bit... strange at some parts. I really don't know how to explain what I'm trying to say. It doesn't bother me much, though, so it's not a big deal.

:D

I really like this song too. Most particularly the shredding at the solo. The keyboards really make a great atmosphere and give a good overall expression to the song. I get what you mean about the vocals, but thats just minor, overall, I think they do fine. Plus its Israeli metal. I mean, seriously, that can't go wrong.

9/10

Woah, where'd you find the lyrics? Anyways, I already liked this song so there's probably not much point in my posting about it.

From Rhia. At least it wasn't angry people singing throughout the entire song. 6/10

Sitra - ...Nevermore
Posted by Rhia

I'm going to cut to the chase, skipping my usual introduction for the songs that I actually get around to reviewing and just come flat out and say this: This song is just flat out amazing.

All insturments have exceptional quality, the lyrics are quite haunting in this song with the rest of the music going on, and production is high. The composition is incredible, and the execution is marvelous. The progression of the song is also outstanding, and the keyboards at :56 and later at 2:16 is just so pretty, and sounds really freaking great with the guitar doing its stuff with it. Some parts of the vocals kind of sound really weird, but that may be because I'm not used to Israeli voices (I'm guessing?), but most of the vocals are alright. I think the lyrics could grow on me with time, anyways.

The guitars are also amazing, and the stuff they do at 3:26, and later at 4:28 just sounds so well with the rest of the song.

You know, the guitars in this whole song sound so amazing. This whole song aside from a few minor points sounds amazing.

What a song. Exceptional.

Score: 9.5/10

Holy crap, forgot about this. Sorry!

65daysofstatic - Drove Through Ghosts To Get Here

No Lyrics.

Once again, I had a hard time choosing this week. I was going to do something by Pendulum, or Portishead, but I finally, after careful considering ( /roll 1-3 lawl ) decided to go for this.

Um. Yeah. Post Rock with Math Rock and Industrial elements, 'tis great stuff. This is one of my favorite tracks by them, though after I got the new album a few days ago, The Conspiracy of Seeds has replaced that spot.

The song takes a while to get going, but the ending piano flourish and blare just blow you away.

From Asaph. It sounds more like they drove through a rock concert. With a piano. 6.5/10

It was okay, could have been really great were the transitions better and the ending less forced.

65 Days of Static - Drove Through Ghosts to Get Here
Posted by Asaph

Believe it or not, this is not the first time I've had to listen to this song. Asaph was forcing me like six or seven weeks ago to listen to this, and I don't remember liking it back then. Might have been due to shitty quality, since he linked a Youtube thing for me to listen to. Anyhow, this is, I'm assuming since its late at night for me, a greater quality than what I had previously listened to in that Youtube thing about a rolling orange and a robot, and therefore I'm assuming this demands that I go and reformat my opinion on this.

Drove Through Ghosts to Get Here opens up with a fade-in of some weird low thing, kind of like a really awkward scream-but-not-really-a-scream (I'm assuming to myself that I lack the proper words right now to explain it), and like two seconds after the thing comes in, a piano joins it, and if you haven't noticed by now, I sure do love my pianos. The tempo in the beginning seems to start off slow, speed up slowly, then suddenly get really slow, slower than the beginning. Then it speeds up slowly, then gets slower again, then gets speeding up again. At 1:30 we begin our final ascension to a fast speed, and it remains constant. At 2:26 there is a yummy piano solo, which is joined with a couple of guitars at 2:38. All the guitars, the drums, and the piano all play around a little bit before leading us into the climax of the song at 3:11. A bunch of play-stop-plays at 3:36 truly begin to signify the end of the song, and at 3:51 everything begins to unwind, eventually drawing us to an end at 4:18.

Like Sturm said, some of the transitions could have been better, and a few parts of the ending did sound a bit forced. The beginning constantly speeding up then slowing down was kind of annoying until they started adding more stuff onto it, and a few of the minor things in the beginning (the weird grunt-like things, for example) just sounded kind of weird. The colosseum-like shouts at 1:48 made me go "wtf?" at first. Once the other piano (or other hand on the same piano) came in shortly after that, everything seemed to suddenly click, and it was smooth sailing from there, for the most part.

All in all, it was a pretty nice song. I happen to like the name.

Score: 8/10

I think it's okay. I like the very beginning and I like the part with piano before the very end. Those parts sound pretty. And really eerie. Like something bad is going to happen. I don't really care for the rest of the song, though.

The intro reminds me of Goldeneye for the N64. Other than that, the music as a whole feels like an experiment gone downhill on a hilly hill with a wild, bumpy Halloween-themed rollercoaster ride along the way.

Wonder if that made any sense.

Everfades - 紅魔最終楽章独奏

I really, really, really like this song. Its a piano solo done by Everfades, someone in Japan who's made an arrangement album of various themes from the Touhou series of games. This is one of the songs on that album of piano arrangements. I really like the writing in this song.

This song also started that argument about pianos fading out Asaph and I had a few weeks back.
