Its that time of year again. Sting are porting YU to the Playstation Portable.

New cutscenes look good, and I'm speculating on voice acting.


Dammit, why can't they make a new game instead? YZ doesn't have enough info.

After a bit of discussion in the channel, there appears to be some differences. I figured it'd spark some discussion.
  • Graphics - Rather obvious as you can see for yourself. Main ones to point out are Yggdra's clothing, sword, Gulcasa's sprite, card skill visual effects, weapon type icons and so on.
  • New Card(s) - On the right hand side page in the bottom right corner.
  • New NPCs - Particularly the woman wielding a scythe.
  • CG / Cutscenes - Awesome.
  • More than 6 members in a clash - Right hand side page, second column, first picture. No idea if it's a typo or not but if you look closely, you can see there are actually 8 members.
  • Portraits of characters participating in union - This was a rather nice addition.
  • Morale Damage Calculation - Right hand side picture, second column, bottom picture. The first % factor I assume is members still standing. It says 40% but there's 5 members. What I assume is that the head unit does not count for this part of the calculation.

Lastly, one detail which strikes me is what Sting will do for the BGMs. Will they pull off what they did in RiviPSP and just take it from the PAC+ or will they yet again rearrange it? And of course, voice acting! Tons of funnies to be had if that were to happen.

Looks to be scheduled to be released on the 24th of January next year.

Chef, that card is Banish. OR AT LEAST IT SAYS IT'S BANISH. IS IT A CRAZY THOUGHT THAT THEY CHANGED HOW THE CARD SKILLS LOOKED SLIGHTLY? I know I already told you, but I have to humiliate you in public!

EDIT:
The mystery of that one art on the YZ blog is shown in those pictures.
I have the feeling YZ might just be the YU remake for the PSP now.

EDIT2:
I demand DS remakes. I said since PSP came out I'd rather break my hands then ever touch a PSP... Still going strong!
And srly. Unless this has like... Hawt Yggdra x Rosary secks... Not worth breaking my hands.
