If the Longinus is not allowed to be in the hands of an angel, why did Ledah allow Ein to keep it then?
Also, why does it only have 1 use? I hate those one use items. :P

The gods don´t exist anymore and Ein and Ledah didn´t have the time to go back to Asgard and put it in a shrine or something. And it´s got only one use because it is that powerful. If you could use it 5 times for example you could beat the first few bosses with one attack.

Although, that's Ledah's reasoning for everything because he's just -that- loyal to the Gods' will. >.>

Anyway, it makes sense to be a one use item because it's extremely powerful, but because you break it, your "Items Remaining" bonus at the end of the chapter goes down one rank I think. Thus, decreasing your bonus points at the end of the chapter.

Besides, Longinus sucks because you'd want to use it on an enemy which can withstand the first attack so you can follow up with an Exl skill or something to get S-Rank, and those enemies are pretty much the bosses in chapter 6/7. Waste of space in my opinion.

By "angels" I think it probably means normal angels rather than Grim Angels.

But then again I never bothered to get Longinus so what do I know. :(

How come Seth Rah uses it like 50 times, but you only get one?

And when I fought Ledah I thought Lorelei was the same as the beginnig with infinate uses so I spent forever trying to S rank him, and all I got was some crappy 1x item i was pissed!

Seth-Rah doesn't use the skill Null Lance so that could be why, although the girls can easily just throw the damn thing at the enemy and it'll still break upon impact. Just one of those RPG mysteries I guess.

oh...I used it on the first boss just to see what he'd say, he didn't say anything...of course it obliterated him so I reset cuase I wanted the S rank weapon...

The Longinus is also included in Evangelion. :P
According to Wikipedia, Longinus is also the name given in Christian mythology to the Roman soldier who pierced the side of Jesus on the cross.

I always thought that it was the spear that was called Longinus, but then again, how many spears are actually given names?

Edit: It turns out that the spear Longinus used is known as the Spear of Destiny, or Lance of Longinus. So I guess I was half-right. :>
